VPRS 6213 General Subject Files

This series comprises subject files maintained on a variety of subjects by the Borough/Town of Stawell (VA 556).The quantity of files in custody currently amounts to a single box and, therefore, the series date range has been determined by reference to the contents of the files. Judging from filing systems created by many other municipalities, it is likely that Stawell had implemented a subject based filing system in 1870. The existence of any other inwards correspondence or files up to 1978 is unknown.
