Research Data for the article: Virtual testing methodology to predict the mechanical behavior of collagen hydrogels from nanoarchitecture.
The dataset includes information extracted from Avizo after skeletonizing the selected volumes of interest (VOIs). This information consists of the geometrical parameters of the segments into which the fibers are divided (total length, endpoint length and tortuosity), as well as the data defining the spatial networks (point coordinates, segment points and initial and final nodes), necessary to reconstruct the fibered matrices of the VOIs.
Additionally, a file is provided with the results of the virtual shear tests performed on the reconstructed fibered matrices. This file shows the shear stress values, along with the axial, bending and torsional accumulated strain energy densities developed by the fibered matrices of the VOIs for each shear strain level considered, ranging from 0% to 30%.
Finally, the dataset includes a file containing the results of the two experimental rheological tests conducted on the collagen hydrogels.
