The first draft genome of Scenedesmus obliquus (UTEX 3018). The assembly consist of 2705 contigs (min length 11140bp) for a total length of 207967116 bp. We were able to assemble complete plastid (167272bp) and mitochondrial (41704bp) sequences. We also identified at least 6 telomeric sequences within the nuclear genome.
