OLAT

The OLAT dataset is a multi-view facial dataset created by a research team from the Technical University of Munich. It contains high-resolution, high-frame-rate multi-view recordings that encompass diverse lighting conditions and facial expressions across multiple human subjects under a light stage setup. Developed to provide high-quality data resources for research on light rendering and facial expression capture, the dataset also lays the foundational groundwork for constructing relightable, photorealistic head avatars. Its application domains include filmmaking, virtual reality (VR), the metaverse and other fields, aiming to address the core challenge of creating photorealistic, relightable 3D head avatars from real-world data.
