Sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy is common in septic patients with a high mortality, and presents a growing public health concern. Owing to cellular heterogeneity, understanding the roles of different cell types in septic hearts has been challenging. Here we identify extensive molecular alterations in septic hearts at single-cell resolution by performing single-nucleus RNA sequencing of nearly 42,000 nuclei in left ventricle samples from mouse hearts of cecal ligation and puncture (CLP)-induced sepsis model. Bulk RNA sequencing was also been performed as supportive data.
