Wood Decomposition in a Primary Tropical Peat Swamp Forest

This dataset contains results from an 8-year field decomposition experiment of Shorea albida wood in an undrained primary peat swamp forest in Brunei. The expeirment included wood buried at multiple depths and treatments with and without termite exclusion mesh. The data reports wood mass loss, organic matter composition via FTIR, wood C and N content, and a file comparing first-order decay constants for woody litter from across field experiments in tropical peatlands. Each data file contains a "README" tab with a guide for variable units and descriptions.
