This dataset documents and analyzes how epistemic certainty is produced and stabilized under conditions of algorithmic attention pressure on contemporary social media platforms. It consists of a theoretical analysis paper (“How Certainty Is Manufactured Under Attention Pressure”) and a corpus of 49 screenshot-based artifacts captured during a compressed, high-velocity news cycle on X/Twitter. Rather than adjudicating truth or falsity, the accompanying paper develops a platform-studies framework for understanding certainty as an emergent property of circulation mechanics, authority signaling, affective triggers, and temporal compression.
