Transcriptome analysis of canine oral malignant melanoma

Canine oral malignant melanoma (OMM) is a highly metastatic tumor in dogs, spreading to the lung, lymph nodes, and liver, and shows a grave prognosis. In this project, we aimed to analyze the transcripts of canine OMM and find newly identified cancer-related genes including transposon-derived genes or endogenous retroviral genes. For this goal, we collected RNA samples from 8 canine OMM samples and sequenced poly(A) RNA.
