This data set contains the measurement data from pressure measurements presented in the paper "Influence of Reynolds number on the Pressure Gradient of Turbulent Channel Flow with Heterogeneous Roughness" by C. Schmidt, P. Sujar-Garrido, U. Schmitgen and B. Frohnapfel published in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics in 2026. A complementing dataset contains the presented data from hot-wire measurements. The dataset contains 6 files, whereas each files contains the data for a specific surface (see Fig. 1). Meaning of the columns: d_in - inner diameter of the orifice plate used for the measurement in mm s/delta - ratio of strip width s to channel half-height delta W - channel width in mm delta_avg - measured mean channel half-height in mm m_dot - measured mass flow rate in kg/s Pi - pressure gradient in Pa/m rho - density in kg/m^3 mu - viscosity in Re_b - bulk Reynolds number in the test section (see eq. 3.2) C_f - calculated friction coefficient (see eq. 3.2) PiStar - see eq. 3.3 DeltaPiStar - see eq. 3.4
