N00 corresponds to the number of the genes, for which gene expression is zero and the peak width inside is zero. N01 corresponds to the number of the genes, for which gene expression is zero and the peak width inside is nonzero. N10 corresponds to the number of the genes, for which gene expression is nonzero and the peak width inside is zero. N11 corresponds to the number of the genes, for which gene expression is nonzero and the peak width inside is nonzero. Only the data of genes counted in N11 for both of two cell types (t1, t2) are plotted in Figs 7 and 8. Note that zero or nonzero mean zero or nonzero on the average of all the analyzed samples with a same cell type.
