Particle image velocimetry (PIV) data from a simulated settling column

Data from a particle image velocimetry (PIV) experiment with a simulation settling column (SETCOL), used to determining sinking speeds of phytoplankton and other particles. Velocity data were interpolated from slices to produce a 3-dimensional, 2-component flow field. In addition to the velocity field ("velocity_field"), calculated velocity magnitude ("umag") and vorticity ("vortz") fields are included.
