资源简介:
Pollen and macrofloral samples were examined from firepit fill at Site
42SA22548 in southeast Utah. A pollen control sample from the modern surface
also was examined. Site 42SA22548 is a multicomponent site where subsistence
activities are believed to have revolved around wild food procurement and
processing. The prehistoric component of the site contained two cultural
horizons. Two Mesa Verde Anasazi sherds suggest that the upper horizon is
associated with a Pueblo II-III occupation, while the lower horizon appears to
represent an earlier occupation. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to
provide information concerning possible plants processed in these firepits.
