The accession contains Temperature and Depth Bathythermograph (XBT) data in the (TESAC) format. This contains one year data that was sent as radio messages from ships to Japanese Hydrographic Office, Tokyo Japan in year 1994. Data was collected as part of Integrated Global Ocean Service System (IGOSS) and was submitted by Dr. Yoshio Kubo to NODC. The data on magnetic disk has been copied to current NODC data storage format.
