资源简介:
These data were collected in order to examine the management of dual-career lives among married couples in which the wife was employed in business at the middle management level.

Data for the study were obtained from 12 couples and two company executives through personal in-depth interviews conducted in 1978. The participants were women between the ages of 25 and 40 who were employed at middle management levels, and their working husbands. The sample was recruited through word of mouth and through company executive officers.

The interview covered such issues as demographic background, parental expectations, job description and work experience, professional life, job-related stress, discrimination, financial situation, children, household division of labor, and advantages and disadvantages of dual careers.

The Murray Archive holds additional analogue materials for this study (typed transcripts for 11 of the 12 couples, and the two executives; the audiotapes of the 12th couple are available for transcription). If you would like to access this material, please apply to use the data.
