Drinking water metagenome

This project investigates microbial community development in biofilms of pilot drinking water distribution systems receiving different reverse osmosis (RO) post-treatment waters. Biofilm samples were collected from parallel pilot distribution systems and analyzed using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to characterize microbial community composition and succession. The dataset supports studies on microbial ecology and biofilm formation in drinking water distribution systems.
