Liver fibrosis, driven by hepatic stellate cell (HSC) activation, remains a major clinical challenge due to elusive heterogeneity and plasticity of HSCs across injury etiologies and stages. This study aimed to decode HSC dynamics through a cross-etiology and -stages single-cell atlas, identify fibrosis-resolution checkpoints, and propose therapeutic strategies.
