Bacterial community composition of three Belgian reservoirs

In order to investigate the bacterial community composition (BCC) in man-constructed reservoirs, three contrasting Belgian freshwater reservoirs with respect to physico-chemical characteristics and trophic status were sampled and the main water compartments of each reservoir (i.e., epilimnion, metalimnion, hypolimnion) were analyzed.
