Glycerol stocks of polymyxin B evolved E. coli strains were streaked on Mueller-Hinton agar plates and sent to the Microbial Genome Sequencing Center (Pittsburgh, PA) for genomic DNA extraction and Illumina 2x150 paired end whole genome sequencing on the NextSeq 550. Sequencing files were imported as paired reads into CLC Genomics Workbench and mapped to the reference E. coli NC101 genome (SAMN16810910). A consensus sequence was extracted and imported into Geneious Prime for alignment. Samples had average coverage of 78x for PmB00R-1, 80x for PmB00R-2, and 78x for PmB00R-3.
