Site LA 151618, originally described as a Classic period Ancestral Pueblo artifact scatter with features when it was recorded in 1987, was reexamined and assigned to the Coalition period. Artifacts were varied and included ceramics, lithics, ground stone, bone tools, pendants, beads, and a needle. Feature types identified during data recovery include pit structures, thermal features, post holes, storage pits, and a burial pit. Pollen analysis of sediments collected from pit house and pit structure floors, as well as a hearth and other thermal features and a storage pit (Table 1), provides a record of the paleoenvironment and plant use and preparation.
