Comparison of Fecal Microbiota from Long-term Captive and Newly Captured Whale Sharks (Rhincodon typus)

The purpose of this study is to compare the fecal microbiota of newly captured and long-term captive whale sharks (*Rhincodon typus*), to elucidate the characteristics of their gut microbiota, and to examine the influence of the captive environment as well as the potential implications for whale shark health.
