The Hotels-50K dataset contains over 1 million images from 50,000 distinct hotels worldwide. These images are sourced from travel websites and the TraffickCam mobile application, which allows everyday travelers to submit photos of their hotel rooms to help combat human trafficking. Compared with images from travel websites, TraffickCam images are visually more similar to those encountered in human trafficking investigations. The training dataset includes 1,027,871 images from 50,000 hotels and 92 major hotel chains. Among these 50,000 hotels, 13,900 contain user-provided images from the TraffickCam app, with a total of 55,061 TraffickCam images in the training set. The test dataset includes 17,954 TraffickCam images from 5,000 distinct hotels, along with test image versions featuring moderate and severe occlusions to replicate the occlusions seen in photos of real-world human trafficking victims.
