This workbook provides information regarding the spatial distributions of environmental homologues of Amphidinium carterae/ A. operculatum/ A. simplex from metaPR2 data, as inferred by phylogenetic reconciliation. Sheet 1 ("Alignment") provides a manually curated 7824 taxa x 1897 nt alignment of cultured dinoflagellate 18S rDNA sequences, following Perrin and Dorrell (2024), enriched with meta-pr2 and Tara Oceans v4 ASVs identified as phylogenetically proximal to Amphidinium carterae.Sheet 2 ("Phylogeny") provides the consensus IQtree topology realised for the alignment, under default settings.Sheets 3-5 ("metaPR2 distributions", "metaPR2 totals", "metaPR2 graphs") lists tabulated relative abundances of each meta-gene across all metaPR2 data, separating sequence type, depth, substrata and size fraction.Sheets 6-8 ("Tara distributions", "Tara data", "Tara graphs") lists tabulated relative abundances of each meta-gene across all Tara Oceans data, separating sequence type, depth, substrata and size fraction
