Alterations in gut microbiota have been reported in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. In this study, basal microbial composition differences between the C57BL/6J and C57BL/6N substrains were analyzed in the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) mouse model. Distinct microbial taxa were identified between the two substrains, supporting the divergent immunological responses observed after EAE induction.
