Three bulk soil samples from the Temblor Range in south-central California were floated
to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were collected
during a paleoseismic investigation. Botanic components and detrital charcoal in the samples
were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
