This series comprises a single handwritten register of incoming correspondence.  The correspondence, regarding the welfare of specific patients, comes from a variety of organisations. Correspondents include the Protective Commissioner, benevolent societies, solicitors and government agencies responsible for the welfare of returned defence force personnel.The hand-ruled register contains columns headed: date, received from, sent to, patient [name], unit no. [a three-part compound number e.g. 38-09-84, 41-08-67], and comments.The entries are arranged alphabetically by the first letter of a patient's last name. The register is a bound book with alphabetical tabs.
