RestoreCheck demo dataset: synthetic shop database and backup-verification scenario results
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies RestoreCheck, an automated backup recoverability verification system developed for AWS. It contains deterministic synthetic shop database tables, backup integrity canary records, verification expectations, and recorded results from six backup-verification scenarios conducted using Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL 17 in the ap-southeast-2 region with a db.t3.micro instance. The dataset includes 60 synthetic customers, 25 products, 250 orders, 600 order items, and 100 canary records for verifying data integrity. Four failure scenarios were introduced to evaluate RestoreCheck's ability to detect missing tables, truncated tables, altered values, and orphaned rows. The recorded results document expected and actual outcomes, failed checks, restoration times, and temporary instance cleanup status. The data is generated deterministically using a fixed random seed and contains no real personal or business information. Email addresses use the reserved example.com domain. This dataset supports reproducibility, demonstration, and evaluation of automated backup recovery verification workflows. The accompanying repository contains the generation scripts and RestoreCheck implementation.
