Areas mentioned in the Prefectural Order to Combat Termites in Maine-et-Loire(49)

Termites, xylophage insects, merules and other lignivore fungi can cause significant damage to buildings. In an attempt to limit their proliferation, measures are taken to compel owners or occupants to declare their presence. In accordance with Articles L126-4 and L126-6 of the Construction Code, where, in one or more municipalities, outbreaks of termites are identified, a prefectural decree delimits the areas contaminated or likely to be contaminated in the short term. This order is made on a proposal or after consultation of the municipal councils concerned, consultation of the municipal councils to take into account the information obtained from the declarations of infection made in the town hall. It shall be displayed for three months in the town halls of the areas concerned. The decree and any annexes thereto may be consulted in the town halls of the municipalities concerned and in the prefecture.
