North Pacific CPR microplastic data from 2004-2023

CPR microplastic counts from the North Pacific between 2004 and 2023, sample level data (each sample being 1 row, equating to approx. 10 nautical miles of tow, 3m3 of filtered seawater). Each column is a sum of microplastics included in the grouping as described by the header. The excel file consists of samples in rows, with the following information in columns - A: midpoint of sample local date and time B: midpoint of sample latitude in decimal degrees C: midpoint of sample longitude in decimal degrees D: microplastic presence recorded as 0.001 or absence as 0 E:onwards = microplastic counts recorded since 2016. NaN is when this category was not looked for. See 'plastic_info' sheet for more information on the headers. NOTE: These microplastics have not been confirmed they have been observed during microscopic analyses.
