Sandusky Bay is an embayment of Lake Erie which is home to yearly harmful algal blooms dominated by Planktothrix agardii. Here we sequence 20 isolates from 2016 and 2018 to determine genetic relatedness, presence of secondary metabolite biosynthetic clusters, and presence of pathogen defense response.
