"High-Voltage Vertical Disconnect Switches: Open and Closed Position Status Dataset"

"This dataset was developed in a laboratory environment and contains labeled images of high-voltage vertical disconnect switches. The images were captured from different angles and under varying lighting conditions, representing realistic operational scenarios. The dataset covers the typical operating states, namely the switch being fully open or fully closed. In addition, it also includes atypical operating states, in which the switch arm is lowered but did not complete the final rotation required to establish electrical contact. These atypical states, exemplified in images 42 and 302 from the Open\/ folder (with image 302 showing the same condition as image 42, but from another angle), are particularly relevant for evaluating the robustness of computer vision models, since they may generate visual ambiguity and represent a known operational challenge. The dataset is intended for applications in computer vision and machine learning, enabling the development and validation of algorithms for automatic recognition of disconnect switch status, contributing to improved safety, reliability, and automation in power systems."
