ACY02 Demography Dataset in Safety and Efficacy of High-Dose Acyclovir in Infants with HSV or Suspected HSV

Demographic data Study Description An observational, retrospective study that included analysis of safety data on infants who had been admitted to intensive care nurseries who received acyclovir as standard of care for confirmed herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection. Sources of data were the Pediatrix Medical Group database and medical charts from four clinical sites (n=49). Publications from two major clinical trials of acyclovir in neonatal HSV infection were also reviewed for safety data. This study was conducted by the Pediatric Trials Network under the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act Program. Medical charts of infants who received acyclovir as standard of care for HSV were reviewed; no participants were enrolled under this protocol
