International News Photos, slug (effigies) -- Lampoo[n]ing 3 dictators -- in socialists May Day parade -- New York -- Effigies of Mussolini (center), with a deaths head insignia; of Hitler (right), with a knife in his mouth; and of Dolfuss, labeled 'The Austrian hangman,' -- are carried by socialists in thier annual May Day parade. They marched up Fifth Avenue, 30,000 strong, from 15th Street to Madison Square. There they held a gigantic mass meeting. The communists held a May Day celebrationof their own at Union Square.
