Twice daily Gaussian process emulator AOD predictions from the UKESM1 atmospheric model during August 1-14, 2017

This dataset provides twice-daily emulated Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) predictions from the UKESM1 atmospheric model. Predictions are available at 9:20 and 12:20 UTC from August 1-14, 2017. The emulators are pixel-wise Gaussian process regressors trained on a perturbed parameter ensemble of 121 runs of the UKESM1 atmospheric model. These runs were sampled using latin-hypercube sampling over the 12 aerosol related parameters shown in the table below. The emulator predictions are for 10,000 variants across the same parameter space. The parameters for each emulator variant are given in `emulatorVariants10k.csv` which has columns for the variant number, and each of the 12 parameters. Each parameter has a value between 0 and 1 which can be rescaled according to the bounds in the table below. Parameters denoted with a * were varied on a logarithmic scale. This information is also saved in `parameterBounds.csv`.
