Genome sequencing and assembly of Albugo candida obtained from Brassica juncea leaves

Albugo candida is the most serious pathogens of Brassica juncea, one ofthe leading oilseed crops in India. However, ecology and evolution of Albugo candida in India isnot clearly understood due to limited genomic resources. For better understanding the ecologyand evolution of A. candida infecting Brassica juncea in India, we have developed genomicresource of A. candida isolate AC-BPM which will further help in exploring the molecular basisof disease resistance, pathogen virulence mechanisms and host-parasite speciation in Albugocandida-Brassica juncea pathosystem.
