The Type VI Secretion System of Pathogenic and Commensal Enterobacteriaceae Mediates Niche Occupancy and Interbacterial Competition in the Gut

This study used murine models to characterize the contribution of the type VI secretion system to C. rodentium infection and microbiota colonization resistance. The dataset deposited here contains fecal 16S rRNA sequencing from uninfected mice of different commercial vendors, used to establish baseline differences in microbiota composition.
