RNA-sequencing of senescent (doxorubicin) human melanoma SK-MEL-103 cells and human fetal lung fibroblast IMR-90 with different interventions Overall design: On one hand, senescence was induced by doxorubicin in SK-MEL-103 and IMR-90 cells lacking Mitochondrial Antiviral Signaling Protein (MAVS), mitofusin 1 (MFN1) and/or mitofusin 2 (MFN2) via siRNA (day -1) for 7 days. RNA was harvested on day 7 of treatment. On the other hand, senescence was induced for 7 days by doxorubicin and then cells were treated with MFI8 or BI for 48h, to inhibit or activate MFN1 and MFN2, respectively. RNA was harvested on day 9 of treatment.
