Reliance on traditional phytochemical methods presents limitations in isolating low-content natural products, restricting the analysis and evaluation of their bioactivity. Rapid advancements in natural productbiosynthesis research are driven by multi-omics data. This study applied transcriptomics and metabolomics to investigate the biosynthesis of orbitides in P. heterophylla, laying the groundwork for understanding their biosynthesis mechanisms. It offers a promising approach for studying plant natural product biosynthesis.
