Compiled data and code used for analyses in "High-resolution data are necessary to understand the effects of climate on plant population dynamics of a forest herb".
Compiled file consists of the scaled dataset used for analyses "data_lathyrus", an unscaled dataset "data_lathyrus_unscaled", and R project with scripts and functions to run all analyses.
Data consists of demographic data for 37 populations of Lathyrus vernus monitored from 2018-2020 in Sweden.
Columns in data_lathyrus are:
pop_id: The population ID
plant_id: The plant ID within the specific population
year: The year of the response variable
surv2: Survival of individual plants
flow: Flowering of individual plants
totalseed: Seed produced per plant
totalseedpred: Seeds predated
sizelog: Scaled size on a natural logarithmic scale at time t+1
prevsize_withdorm_log: Scaled size on a natural logarithmic scale at time t
prevgraze_wdorm2: Previous year grazing (Y/N)
GDD_wimp: Local measured growing degree days (GDD) at time t
FDD_wimp: Local measured freezing degree days (FDD) at time t
intradens: Intraspecific density at time t
gapfraction: Gapfraction in canopy (light)
GDD_krig: GDD estimated from downscaled ERA5-Land data using the KrigR package (approx 2 km res)
FDD_krig: FDD estimated from downscaled ERA5-Land data using the KrigR package (approx 2 km res)
GDD_eobs: GDD estimated E-OBS (interpolated weather station data) (approx 10 km res)
