Plant survey data within urban water bodies of the Greater Daytona Beach conducted from 2012 to 2016

Aquatic plants (floating, floating-leaved, submerged, emergent) and bank vegetation were surveyed and identified during the period from 2012 to 2016 at various urban water bodies (retention ponds, drainage ditches, stormwater canals) within the Greater Daytona Beach, Florida area. The dataset lists the plants' scientific name, common name, group, family, growth form, Florida native status, and wetland designation. Data also includes the various types of wetland designations, the characterization of plants (native or nonnative, free-floating, submergent/submerged, etc). Compiled photos of plant surveys conducted in urban water bodies of east central Florida are available on Zenodo. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15616800.
