Digital Data from an Open Area Excavation at Bedworth Road, Bulkington, Warwickshire 2020

This collection comprises site images, pottery spreadsheet, written scheme of investigation, and CAD site plan for an archaeological excavation at Bedworth Road, Bulkington, Warwickshire, carried out by MOLA Northampton (Museum of London Archaeology) prior to a proposed residential development. The investigations took place during November and December 2020 and revealed evidence for late Iron Age/Roman, early medieval and medieval activity. A ditched enclosure, likely established during the late Iron Age and continuing in use until the early/mid Roman period, was identified along with pits and parallel ditches that may represent part of a possible trackway. Evidence for early medieval activity consisted of a sunken-feature building along with a second possible one, pits and a four-post structure. Medieval activity comprised evidence for a post mill that was constructed in the same area as the early medieval features.
