This project focuses on the genetic diversity of G. anatis in various flocks and identifies candidate genes linked to resistance to six common antibiotics. Through comparative genomics and GWAS analysis, the study demonstrates the importance of metabolic mechanisms in contributing to antibiotic resistance and highlights the critical role of the citric acid cycle in modulating antibiotic resistance in this species. The findings provide insights into the mechanisms of multidrug resistance in G. anatis and have implications for future strategies aimed at combating this issue.
