Passage and competitions of yeast or hyphal strains differing in chromosome copy number in yeast inducing or hyphal inducing conditions.

In order to observe selection for chromosome copy number or spontaneous copy number switching as a function of temperature, Histoplasma strains with different copy number and distinguishable by non-coding SNP content were mixed 1:1 and grown in liquid culture at 37C or 25C, starting from either yeast or hyphal cells. As controls, the same strains were used to innoculate liquid monocultures under the same conditions. This sequencing data was additionally used to assess change in transposon content under these conditions.
