资源简介:
This dataset contains terrestrial laser scan (TLS) data collected using a Leica BLK360 to represent the vegetation and tower configurations during multiple static field experiments at Tall Timbers Station and Land Conservancy (TT) in October 2022 and the Savannah River Site (SRS) between 5/2023 and 6/2025.The data is from a series of experiments using liquid pool fires and small-scale laboratory work to characterize the way structure and heterogeneity of fuel elements change the drag and convective heat transfer in plume dynamics. Other datasets were collected and complement this dataset as part of the Department of Defense project RC20-1362. All related datasets titles start with "A multiscale study of the coupling between flow, fire and vegetation static field experiments:".The TT field experiments were conducted using multiple liquid pool fire (pan) configurations on a clearing where all vegetation was removed. The SRS field experiments were conducted using multiple pan configurations within a 2-ha loblolly and long leaf pine plantation. Understory vegetation was removed in all burns and tree density reduced in some burns. For a complete description of the project and each burn, see burn layout and documentation dataset: A Multiscale study of the coupling between flow, fire and vegetation: field experiments â burn layout and documentation (https://doi.org/10.60594/W4NC73, see Annotations section for Metadata link).
