Factors Influencing Antenatal Care Utilization: Evidence from a Cross-Sectional Study among Pregnant Women in Bosaso, Somalia

This study investigates the factors influencing antenatal care (ANC) utilization among pregnant women in Bosaso, Somalia. Using a cross-sectional study design, the research examines the level of ANC utilization and identifies key socio-demographic, obstetric, health service–related, and knowledge-related factors associated with adequate ANC attendance. The study aims to provide evidence on barriers and facilitators affecting maternal health service use in Bosaso. Findings from this research may help health professionals, policymakers, and public health stakeholders design targeted interventions to improve ANC attendance, strengthen maternal health services, and reduce preventable maternal and neonatal complications in Somalia.
