We harmonized eight wildfire datasets to create a US-wide spatial dataset of wildfire burn zone disasters. Our criteria for wildfire burn zone disasters was a wildfire that burned near a community and resulted in >= 1 civilian fatality, >= 1 destroyed structure, or federal disaster relief. We identified 5,413 wildfire burn zone disasters between 2000-2019. The annual number of wildfire burn zone disasters fluctuated between 52 in 2001 and 523 in 2011 (median = 288). This is a large-scale dataset of wildfire disasters that covers the entire US from 2000-2019.
