SeaWiFS Bio-optical Archive and Storage System

SeaWiFS Bio-optical Archive and Storage System (SeaBASS) is a publicly shared archive of in situ oceanographic and atmospheric data maintained by the NASA Ocean Biology Processing Group (OBPG). Archived data include measurements of apparent and inherent optical properties, phytoplankton pigment concentrations, and other related oceanographic and atmospheric data, such as water temperature, salinity, stimulated fluorescence, and aerosol optical thickness. Data are collected using a number of different instrument packages, such as profilers, buoys, and hand-held instruments, and manufacturers on a variety of platforms, including ships and moorings.SeaWiFS生物光学档案与存储系统（SeaBASS）是由美国国家航空航天局（National Aeronautics and Space Administration，NASA）海洋生物学处理小组（Ocean Biology Processing Group，OBPG）维护的公开共享原位海洋与大气数据档案库。其收录的数据涵盖表观光学特性与固有光学特性测量值、浮游植物色素浓度，以及水温、盐度、激发荧光、气溶胶光学厚度等其他相关海洋与大气数据。数据通过多种仪器套装采集，所用设备包括剖面仪、浮标与手持仪器，由不同厂商在船舶、锚定系泊平台等多种平台上完成部署与数据采集。
