Production of heat and electricity from renewable energy sources in the Canton of Zurich from 2010

For the various renewable energy sources, the data show how much they have contributed to the production of heat and electricity in megawatt-hours (MWh) per year since 2010. The data come from the market survey solar energy from the Federal Office of Energy (SFOE), for biomass (including wood) from UMWEKO GmbH, for wastewater from the electricity plants of the canton of Zurich (EKZ) and from the electricity plant of the city of Zurich (EWZ), for wastewater, for water and for air from the Office for Waste, Water, Energy and Air (AWEL) of the canton of Zurich. Notes: For the production of electricity by means of geothermal energy (deep drilling) and wind power, there are currently no or only very low values in the canton of Zurich; both energy sources are included as power sources in the data up to 2022 with the value '0'.
