Online appendix 1 to the review "Network effects in the management of higher education export": literature corpus, analytical framework and coding of applied studies

Online appendix 1 to the structured narrative review by K.V. Khobta, S.S. Bykov and Xia Shuang "Network effects in the management of higher education export: from theory and country-level models to the university as a platform". The record contains the materials of the review corpus and synthesis, organised by the three groups of the corpus: 1. «Первая группа_теоретический фундамент.xlsx» — Group 1: foundational theoretical works on network effects and network externalities (seed set).2. «Вторая группа_обзорные работы.xlsx» — Group 2: review articles on network effects (23 in English, 7 in Russian) used to extend citation searching and to verify the elements of the analytical framework.3. «Кодирование_прикладные исследования.xlsx» — Group 3: coding of 31 applied studies of network effects in higher education (28 in English, 3 in Russian) against 11 elements of network effects theory (E1–E11) and two appraisal criteria (K1 — functional form of the relationship between network size and value; K2 — identification of the effect), with a summary by research stream, a legend and the list of excluded works. Synthesis follows the logic of best fit framework synthesis (Carroll et al., 2011, 2013). Materials are in Russian with English bibliographic data.
