Bacterial community structures in psychrotolerant MEC fed with glucose. uncultured bacterium

This a independent project, which was conducted to examine the bacterial community stuctures of biofilms developed on the anode of the bio-electrochemical systems%u2014microbial electrolysis cells (MECs). Analyses of bacterial community structures based on pyrosequencing of bacterial 16S rRNA genes of genomic DNA extracted from the anode biofilms. These biofims are composed of mixed microbial consortia that initially come from environment. Pyrosequencing of the V1-V3 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA-genes from bacteria on the biofilm anodes of microbial electrolysis cells (MECs) fed with glucose at 4 degrees centigrade.
