The study investigates the potential of the fungus Trichoderma reesei DSM 768 for microbially induced calcite precipitation (MICP), with a focus on consolidating fine-grained waste concrete fines (WCF). Fungal biomineralization using calcium chloride and calcium lactate was evaluated under conditions with and without pH adjustment, and the effects on crystal morphology and mineral composition were assessed. The dataset includes results from scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and simultaneous thermal analysis (STA), documenting the formation of distinct CaCO₃ phases. Data from bacterial positive controls employing Sutcliffiella cohnii DSM 6307 are also included for comparison.
